My experience as a Design Management Student at the University of North Texas

As a passionate student of art and design, the Interdisciplinary Art and Design Studies program at UNT has been an ideal fit. It has allowed me to explore a range of creative fields, including graphic design, interior design, digital art, and more. Pursuing the Design Management path, along with minors in Marketing and Management, has equipped me with a well-rounded skill set in both creative and business disciplines. On the portfolio page is a collection of some of my favorite projects from courses such as Digital Communication for Art and Creative Entrepreneurship, and Digital Tools and Technologies for Creative Practice.

My experience as a Graphic Design Intern at United Way of Denton County

As the sole graphic design intern, I collaborated closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to execute a variety of design tasks, relying heavily on the Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. This real-world application of Adobe tools has significantly advanced my technical skills in ways that academic projects couldn't. Balancing multiple design projects alongside full-time coursework and part-time work strengthened my time management and organizational abilities. I am thankful for the opportunities to grow that my internship provided me.

My experience as a Graphic Design Intern at White Box Roastery

My internship is currently ongoing with White Box Roastery. So far, I have learned the value of a strong marketing team. Getting to collaborate with my fellow interns as well as superiors has given me a new outlook on graphic design projects. This role has allowed for a plethora of creative freedom, pushing me to my full potential for designs. So far I have not only developed my skills within the Adobe Suite, but also Canva and Procreate.
